Outpatient Nutrition Services

ECRMC’s Outpatient Nutrition Services program offers one-on-one appointments for Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) to help you manage your chronic medical condition. Through an in-depth nutrition assessment, your Registered Dietitian (RD) will provide you personalized recommendations and education to assist you in your health goals. As part of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, dietitians collaborate with physicians and other health care providers to create a nutrition plan that works for you.

Most people will have one to four appointments with the dietitian per year, depending on the needs of the individual. Your first appointment will typically include:

● An initial assessment of your medical and social history

● Nutritional guidance and assistance in planning your meals

● Educational handouts to help you retain the education delivered during your appointment for medical nutrition therapy
