ECRMC Announces Grand Opening of Women’s Health Center.

EL CENTRO – October 12, 2022 – El Centro Regional Medical Center (ECRMC) announces the grand opening of its new Women’s Health Center, located on the second floor of the Medical Office Building at 1271 Ross Avenue in El Centro.

The ECRMC Women’s Health Center will offer comprehensive gynecology services to women of all ages, from pediatric and adolescent gynecology to post-menopause. The center will be staffed by the established local gynecologist, Marisel Chibas, MD.

“We’re excited to expand ECRMC’s specialty clinics with the addition of Dr. Chibas and her skilled team,” said Dr. Adolphe Edward, Chief Executive Officer for ECRMC. “The addition of the Women’s Center has been part of our long-term plans for providing more preventative care to our community.” “The new center will further complement the comprehensive outpatient specialty services already available within the medical office building,” added Edward.

Advance detection of health problems, including disease, is essential in helping women live healthier, more satisfying, and possibly longer lives. Identifying issues while they can still be managed may significantly improve the chances of survival from certain diseases, including some forms of cancer. ECRMC recommends that patients follow a consistent schedule for medical screenings - based on their personal health history and unique risk factors.

“Working with ECRMC allows us to offer more convenience to our patients by leveraging the on-site labs, 3D mammography, and state-of-the-art imaging equipment as well as access to other specialty providers,” said Marisel Chibas, MD. “We are enthusiastic about this next chapter and look forward to seeing patients at the new location,” added Chibas.
