El Centro Mayor Shares Health Journey

Here in our community, you know Sylvia Marroquin as a dedicated public servant, trustee of El Centro Regional Medical Center and the mayor of El Centro. Despite her unwavering commitment to her community, her life took an unexpected turn when she was diagnosed with kidney cancer.

In addition to very specialized care at the UC San Diego Urologic Cancer Clinic, she also benefitted from very new therapies by enrolling in a clinical trial. Her outcome has been very encouraging for her and our community.
